Once we had finished shopping, we headed to the cinema and purchased our tickets to see Midnight in Paris. The ticket-boy informed us that it was a great choice and the film was very pretty. This proved to be true. It is such a beautiful movie as you walk through Paris in the 1920's with Gil (Owen Wilson) to meet Hemmingway, Pablo Picasso, Scott Fitzgerald, Degas and other incredibly influential people from that time. It is a somewhat inspirational movie, as you consider what you really want from life, but it is mostly beautiful to see the sights of Paris and imagine what it would be like if that really did happen. I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt that I was there in Paris with the actors. It is a movie that you watch to escape for a while. There is not much comedy and for once Owen Wilson plays a serious role, which he does well. I would recommend it for those of us who enjoy romantic notions and looking through the eyes of someone living in another time. If you've seen it, what did you think?
